Saldo Zinfandel

This wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Petite Syrah and Syrah. The wine is dark ruby in color with aromas of black licorice, black pepper, cherry, and baking spice. The palate is mouth-watering and smooth with a hint of chocolate. The finish is long with soft, velvety tannins.

Here is what the winemakers say about this wine, “While sampling grapes from fine-quality vineyards to make The Prisoner, we came across many that, although not right for that distinctive Napa Valley blend, were just too good to let go. We created Saldo to feature this outstanding fruit from Dry Creek, Lodi, and Amador, where Zinfandel has thrived for decades.”
